Pendle Domestic Violence Initiative has a support centre and provides an outreach support service for individuals and their children to discuss their situation face-to-face. The outreach support is provided in a mutually agreed safe place.

The support centre provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment

The centre is operated by trained staff and volunteers who can provide emotional and practical support and information on a wide range of issues.

For security of staff and clients the location of the centre is strictly on a need-to-know basis - call our helpline to find out more.

We can:

  • Listen and provide emotional support in confidence.
  • Offer practical support, such as advocacy and accompanying individuals to various appointments.
  • Offer support and information regarding practical issues such as housing, benefits, and legal remedies.
  • Refer you (with or without children) to refuges or other places of safety throughout the country.
  • Suggest strategies that may reduce the risk of abuse and enable you to feel in control and safe.
