PDVI offers a flexible, needs led service, tailored to the individuals needs that is provided by trained members of staff and volunteers, including bi-lingual support, who are able to:

  • Provide a confidential telephone helpline
  • Provide outreach support which will be in a mutually agreed safe place
  • Provide face-to-face support at our support centre
  • Listen and provide emotional support in confidence.
  • Offer practical support, such as advocacy and accompanying individuals to various appointments.
  • Offer support and information regarding practical issues such as housing, benefits, and legal remedies.
  • Refer you (with or without children) to refuges or other places of safety throughout the country.
  • Suggest strategies that may reduce the risk of abuse and enable you to feel in control and safe.
  • Provide equipment for personal safety.
  • Provide security lock packages.
  • Offer a free counselling service.
  • Offer support groups to raise self-confidence and esteem.
  • Provide an educational programme for perpetrators.

All of our services will be provided in a confidential, non-judgmental manner. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service please request a copy of our complaints procedure.
