Volunteering enables members of the community to become involved in this innovative project and gain experience of domestic violence and the related issues.

Volunteers will provide support on an individual basis to those who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence. Enabling and empowering individuals to live a life free of violence and abuse. This will include, for example:

• Providing support and a listening ear in confidence.
• Providing information and referring to other sources of help.
• Discussing the various available options.
• Providing outreach support in a mutually safe convenient place.

Volunteers are provided with a comprehensive Induction Training Programme, on-going training and supervision, out of pocket expenses and a supportive working environment while gaining experience of domestic violence.
