Community Safety Manager  - Geoff Whitehead

As his title suggests, Geoff manages issues of community safety on behalf of the council within Pendle. Geoff works closely with the elected members and other partners addressing matters of concern within the area that are a crime and disorder issue along with updating them on new legislation. He applies for and manages funds that are granted to the partnership from various sources. He works within government guidelines in respect of funding and legislation. Geoff, along with the other organisations, is responsible for developing and delivering a workable Community Safety Strategy. Geoff also manages five Community Safety Street Wardens.

Local Authority Liaison Officer – Karen Fitzpatrick

Karen is a Police Constable seconded to the Partnership to work full time with the Community Safety Team. She acts as a link between the Police, the Partnership other Departments within Pendle Borough Council. She also works closely with the other members of the partnership and a number of other agencies to enable her to fulfil her role. A large part of her remit is in relation to anti-social behaviour, working with colleagues from a variety of organisations, enabling effective gathering and collating of information to solve problems of anti-social behaviour.

Community Safety Assistant – Helen Wilkinson

Helen provides assistance to the Community Safety Manager and the wider Community Safety Partnership, working to deliver the Community Safety Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy. She specifically deals with issues relating to Domestic Violence, Young People and current community concerns via the problem solving Community Safety Area Working Groups.

Community Safety Admin Assistant – Lisa Franco

Lisa is responsible for all admin matters for the Community Safety Team.  Her role includes a variety of admin duties, including correspondence, minute taking and co-ordinating training days etc.
