Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service - “Making Lancashire a Safer Community”

To help people live a safer life Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are providing some helpful information and contact details for everyone to access. Creating a safe home for you or your family to live in is always very important.

To access specific Fire Safety advice in the comfort of your own home call Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service on Free Phone 0800 1691125.

We will:

  • Arrange a visit within a time frame appropriate to the level of risk in your home.
  • Provide and install FREE Smoke Alarms where appropriate.
  • Give life saving advice in the event of a Fire in your Home.
  • Discuss with you how to make a Fire Escape Plan.
  • Fire Officers from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, who will show identification, will carry out all Home Fire Safety Checks.

Are you hard of hearing?

If you are Hard of Hearing and may require a specialist alarm, you or someone on your behalf can ring the Free Phone number 0800 1691125 to arrange a visit. A hearing assessor will arrange to visit you from the Social Services. If you would benefit from the specialist alarm, Fire Service personel will visit you and install an alarm FREE of charge.

Fireman Performing Rescue

Are you responsible for children that have a strong fascination with fire or who play with fire?

If you are, we are able to offer educational advice to your children about the dangers of playing with fire. Contact the FREE phone number 0800 1691125.

Trained Fire Service personnel will visit your home to carry out a Fire Awareness Child Education Lesson. This interactive lesson will take approximately one hour. The lesson will cover Fire Safety in a format appropriate to your child’s age.
