Pendle's Sustainable Community Strategy 2008-18 has been approved. To access this document which sets out our key challenges and priorities over the next 10 years go to the section above called Publications.

Community Safety Partnership

The Community Safety Partnership is slightly different to all other Key Priority Groups. It is a statutory partnership resulting from the Crime and Disorder Act and was formed before the Local Strategic Partnership was established.

To avoid duplicating the work of the Community Safety Partnership, Pendle Partnership has encouraged it to perform a similar function as the other Key Priority Groups.

There are strong links between the Community Safety Partnership and Pendle Partnership. The Chair of the Community Safety Partnership is a member of Pendle Partnership's Executive and plays a full and active part in the Partnership's work.

Pendle’s Community Safety Mission Statement:

"A partnership between agencies and the community that develops safer neighbourhoods, improves the quality of life and reduces the fear of crime for those that live, work and visit Pendle."
