Brierfield Cyber Café
Brierfield Cyber Café is one of the key projects being delivered by Brierfield Action in the Community (BAIC) and are registered as a 'not for profit organisation' and a 'Registered Charity'.
The aim of the project is to:
- Continue providing an internet café for local residents of Brierfield
- Continue to provide much needed access to ICT facility for a Community in Need
- Provides access to ICT equipment for local people
- Provides specialist support for local people to use the equipment and gain the fullest benefit from the resources
- Establishes specific sessions for all groups in the community to ensure that every one has an equal opportunity to use the facilities
- Opportunities for volunteering, mentoring are provided
- Provides a team of dedicated staff to support users of the Cyber Café
- Encourages young and old to use the centre
- The Cyber Café has facilities to help with homework (research, word processing ), search for jobs, CV development, music and video editing
- Facilitates a wide a population in a community in need with the importance and relevance of ICT and the e-Revolution
- One of the 19 Link Centres/Internet Access Points within Pendle (part of Pendle Community Link Project)
- A Link Centre working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus
- Is a Learndirect Link Centre

Brierfield Cyber Cafe is funded by Pendle Partnership, Pendle Council. The project is delivered by Brierfield Action in the Community.
