Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) which may resolve your query.

Question...I have a small child, and am interested in accessing the safety equipment scheme, what do i have to do in order to qualify?

Answer...If you have a child over 6 months, under 2 years and live within the Bradley and Whitefield  wards then the scheme is available to you. Your details will be taken and passed on to your Health Visitor. Your Details will then be passed on the ACAP, and an ACAP representative will come and assess your home. Safety equipment will then be fitted where it is considered necessary.

Question... I am new to the area, and am interested in taking my child to some play sessions. Can you help?

Answer... If you live in the Bradley and Whitefield area of Nelson, then you can become a member and access all the play sessions available, along with Literacy Groups, and other services. The Open Play sessions at  The Beacon Centre, and Grassroots St Philips Church Leeds Road are available to all, whether or not you live within the Bradley and Whitefield wards.
