This is the 4th year where The Beacon Children’s Centre has an Open Day during July to celebrate its launch in the transformed Victorian schoolroom of the St Mary’s Parish Centre, and of its designation as a Children’s Centre.

All our members and local residents are welcome to attend. With entertainment and activities to keep everyone busy and offer local people the chance to see the potential of the centre and the partner nursery.

This years Annual Celebration Fun day was on Sunday 12th July 2009. 12:00-15:00

The entertainment included:

Mobile Reptile  Zoo

Silk Painting

Drum Workshop

Fire Engine and the local police team were on site   

As well as all our Fun and Arts and Crafts activities we organised 'the big lunch' for all the local families, friends and their neighbours to sit down and have lunch with each other.
