Arts Development
Our Arts Development Team are experienced in delivering and managing, quality arts projects in a variety of setting. We believe that arts, music and drama can increase confidence, promote teamwork and unlock the potential of individuals and communities.
We run a very successful Arts on Prescription Programme. Arts on Prescription provides free art classes for adults who suffer from anxiety, stress, depression or other similar issues that may affect their wellbeing and mental health. www.pendlearts.co.uk
We also run a Youth Music funded programme for young people called Access All Areas. As part of Access All Areas we have developed a new type of orchestra called RAWchestra.
RAWchestra is a new youth orchestra for young people in years 6, 7 and 8 who are interested in music. RAWchestra is nothing like any orchestra you have ever heard before. It will be a combination of traditional orchestral instrumentalists, drummers, percussionists, guitarists, keyboard players, brass players, singers and anybody else who wants to join. Whatever you play or even if you don’t play you can be part of this new group. RAWchestra is looking for both experienced musicians and total beginners. If you want to make new music come and join the unconventional orchestra.
The Arts Development Team can also offer Information, Advice and Guidance to local artists and the public.
We also work closely with other arts teams in East Lancashire to promote opportunities for artists and arts workers.
