  • 12.00 pm to 4.30 pm Saturday & Sunday

The Haworth Art Gallery was originally called ‘Hollins Hill’ and was built for William Haworth and his sister Anne in 1909 by Walter Brierley, FSA of York. The gallery is home to Europe’s largest public collection of Tiffany glass and consists of over one hundred and forty vases, tiles and mosaics. In addition the gallery has an excellent collection of mainly 19th Century oil paintings and water-colours, including works by Fredrick, Lord Leighton, Claude Joseph Vernet and John Frederick Herring.

The Haworth Art Gallery offers a varied programme of temporary exhibitions and events, including the Annual Open each November/December and children’s workshops every school holiday.

Situated in its own parkland on the A680 south of Accrington town centre, Haworth Art Gallery enjoye`s beautiful views across the valley to the hills eastward. It is 1.5 miles from Accrington Railway Station. The 464 bus from Accrington passes the gallery at frequent intervals. The Gallery is full accessible with a ramped entrance, disabled toilet and a lift to Tiffany displays and 'Art Exchange' on the first floor.
