Hyndburn Sports Centre

Swimming Pool -

A U-shaped pool incorporating a learner area, a diving pool and a 25m x 11.1m swimming pool. A gallery overlooking the pool seats spectators for swimming competitions or for a leisurely viewing during the swimming pool opening hours.

Outdoor Artificial Turf Pitch -

This flood-lit pitch is very popular. It provides excellent surface for Hockey, Football, Netball, Cricket and Tennis.

Sports Hall -

This large hall can accomodate eight badminton courts or any of the following sports- hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, cricket, tennis, trampolining indoor bowling and children's games.

A viewing gallery runs the full length of the hall and is complimented by tiered seating making it ideal for major spectator events.

Practice Hall -

This multi-purpose area with sprung floor, is designed for a wide range of sports including Gym Tots, Reception Gymnastics, Aerobics and Martial Arts. A full size judo mat is permanently available and is used by many different clubs during the week.

Table Tennis Centre -

This purpose built building caters for 8 match table tennis and with its extensive lighting accommodates many competitions. It is used by the local Table Tennis Club to increase participation of table tennis.

Dance Studio -

This area is used for Group Fitness Classes and is fully air conditioned with mirrored walls and a state of the art music system to provide our customers with pleasurable experience when attending one of our many classes available, including the very popular Body Training System, Body Pump, Balance, Combat and Step.

Fitness Suites -

A fully air conditioned state of the art fitness suite which is fitted with a wide range of Cardio Vascular and Resistance Fitness Equipment from one of the worlds leading suppliers Life Fitness.

We have a professionally trained team of instructors who work across all three of our gyms and are always on hand to offer advice on weight training, fitness training and use of equipment plus Personal 1 to 1 Training sessions available to get you started.

Evolution -

Evolution membership packages offer use of the gym, swimming, group exercise classes and much more from as little as £18 a month, with a personal training plan included. If you want fitness without the commitment then why not try our Pay As You Go membership option, which allows you to pay for your activities individually ? Appointments and inductions for the fitness suite are available throughout the day, so don't hesitate to call.

Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Salon -

Treatments offered by the beauty therapist includes facials, manicure, pedicure, waxing, massage and electrolysis.

Sauna Suite -

This area includes sauna/steam room and access to the pool for a refreshing dip for only £2.50. There's also a lounge area where you can purchase a hot or cold drink and relax with your friends.

Sun Bed Suite -

This area has three private rooms two with the latest fast tanning sun beds and 1 sun shower room. All sun beds are available to male or females during our opening hours at a very competitive price.

Cafe/Bar Lounge -

The catering facilities offer a quality service and value for money both day and night. Catering for special events is also available.

Norden Sports Centre

This purpose build dual use Centre was opened in June 2006 and consists of :

Sports Hall -

The large sports hall can accommodate 4 badminton courts or any of the following sports, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket etc.

Fitness Suite -

A fully air conditioned fitness suite which provides our customers with the latest state of the art cardio vascular and resistance equipment for a total body workout. Open to the public every evening and all weekend. Sessions for ladies only and families plus personal 1 to 1 training sessions available to get you started.

Netball Courts -

4 netball court areas with flood lights also available for football training.

Outdoor Astro Turf -

This newly surfaced flood-lit pitch is very popular. It provides an excellent surface for hockey or football, and is available for hire throughout the year.

Grass Football Pitches -

2 full size grass football pitches available for winter training sessions and matches.

Mercer Hall Leisure Centre

This listed building stands in the Centre of Great Harwood and is regular used by the local community

Swimming Pool -

A 20m by 10m pool which is open to the public and available for hire for Galas, birthday parties etc.

We offer a wide range of activities throughout the school holidays including coaching days, Club 8 - 12 yrs, Craxy Capers and Water Fun Sessions across our sites.
