Pendle Women's Forum was established in 1998.  The forum offers advice to all women and young girls from the Pendle community.

Our main objectives are:

  • To provide a multi-cultural forum for women or young girls who either work or live in Pendle.
  • To help with identifying training and educational needs.
  • To advance the educational attainment levels of the children living in the district of Pendle.
  • To act on behalf of the client with statutory and voluntary organisations.

We endeavour to do mee these needs by:

  • Being polite and courteous.
  • Acknowledging your needs and trying to find a solution to the problem.
  • Offering support and guidance.
  • Making home visits if thought necessary.
  • Attending appointments with you if necessary.
  • Treating all information given in a confidential manner.

PWF is also currently running the Female Development Project, funded through the Lancashire Children's Fund.  This scheme endeavours to help raise educational achievement amongst females aged 5-13, to provide information and support to girls and their mothers to establish positive and achievable goals to improve their education, and to inform girls and mothers of what is happening in the area.  if you are interested in your daughter attending homework, gardening, drama, IT or art clubs, please go to our WEBPAGE to find out further details.
