The Council's Planning and Building Control service is responsible for development control,local plans,enforcement, environment and conservation, building control, and tree preservation orders.
Planning Every year, the Council cnsiders around 700 planning applications. Major dvelopment applications are considered by local councillors. Non-controversial applications are determined by the Planning Manager. Building Control:Work that does not need planning permission needs approval under the Building Regulations.
