Pendle's Sustainable Community Strategy 2008-18 has been approved. To access this document which sets out our key challenges and priorities over the next 10 years go to the section above called Publications.

Community Involvement

Getting a good level of involvement from people in the local community is a priority for Pendle Partnership.

It is important that the Partnership reflects local views and opinions so that it can play a key part in driving up the quality of local public services, encouraging value for money services and ensuring that local priorities are delivered.

The Partnership has a very broad and diverse membership from all sections of the community from all parts of Pendle. Most members of the Partnership live or work in Pendle and have an excellent knowledge of the area and what needs to be done to make life better.

Members of the community are directly represented through the six reserved places on the LSP that are available for representatives from Pendle Community Network. Other members of the community including businesspeople, councillors and faith groups are also represented on the Partnership.

The Partnership also undertakes a wide range of consultation activities in order to gauge the views of local people on key issues.

Responding to one of our consultations is another important way in which you can influence the Partnership's work and have your say.
