BARROWFORD

This is an extremely pleasant walk with no difficulties although care is required route finding in a couple of places where there is no real footpath to be seen. Much of it is by river and canal and it also passes Nogarth Quarry - the only place in Pendle where there is any real rock climbing.

	Barrowford's locks may not be as famous as the Bingley Five Rise but in five minutes walk you will pass five of them in a delightful setting
	This is the last one you will reach and is seen looking back from just after you have passed under the old A road
	Sometimes even Motorways can seem beautiful
	I don't suppose they seemed cheap at the time and nowadays most roads are even cheaper (well, if you ignore that your rates and taxes have paid for them!)
