The Parishes of Pendle

The Walks - note that you can go straight to a brief description of the walk for each one by clicking on its name, and from there you can go to the full route description, the map and pictures from that walk, each opening in a new window on an otherwise blank sheet so that you can print them out easily.

Technical note : If you open the walk from the menu above it will open on the same page. From the list below on a new page - take your choice. Different browsers will behave slightly differently - for example in Internet Explorer the route will automatically open in Word, in Netscape you will have a choice. If you cannot open Word if you email me I'll send a copy in pdf format - if there is so much demand for this that I can't cope I'll try to offer a choice here!

Originally 5 of these walks were published using my routes. They were Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Earby, Foulridge and Trawden and they are long out of print. Currently we have a pack of “Six Circular Walks in Pendle” and four of these are similar (but not identical) to my routes. Barnoldswick, Kelbrook, Old Laund Booth are three whilst Trawden is the fourth under the title of Brontes in Pendle (although it is a much shorter - and nicer! ).

We have started by issuing the others here – although even this may take me some time!
