Original Fox's Well Fox's We'll (Robin Hood's Well) (Fox's Pulpit). George Fox preached here in 1652 after a revelation on top of Pendle. It used to be hard to find but after the last few years of heavy rain the ground below it has now turned from a very small area of lush growth to a huge one and the original lower well flows after heavy rain

just above the original. The water is described as the purest in Lancashire and it certainly tastes good!

Clitheroe sunny day

The 3rd of February 2007was a perfect day in Pendle but - just as though the it knew precisely where the boundary was - the Ribble Valley was swathed in mist. The "island" is Longridge Fell with the Boy Scout memorial in front and Clitheroe lost in the mist
