Join the Mayor on the Pendle Way
His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Allan Buck, has decided that during his Mayoral Year he was going to walk the Pendle Way - then, having done it, he (and his companions) decided to do it again in the opposite direction!
Copies of the Pendle Way pack can be purchased for £3 (Plus postage and packing) from: Barnoldswick Tourist Information Centre (Tel: 01282 666704), Pendle Tourist Information Centre (Tel: 01282 661701) or Nelson Town Hall (Tel: 01282 661655).
9 walkers joined the Mayor on the first and second leg, with 17 on the much sunnier third leg - a few pictures follow:

Again the Mayor and Mayoress at the Trig Point on top of Knarrs Hill. I actually "own" this trig point and am responsible for keeping it in good order - yes, I must get it painted! |

We eventually all made it over the large stile leaving Knarrs (all of 301m high). Laneshaw Bridge has a second trig point which is at a mere 240m. |
