We have an open day for all our allotments at some point during the season so that children can bring their friends and families and show them all the plants the have helped to look after and the wonderful produce they have given us.
Our summer open day at the Hodge House allotment usually coincides with the allotment show. In the show we enter fruits, vegetables and flowers and compete against the other allotment holders in lots of different categories e.g. most usual vegetable, root vegetable, sot fruit and many many more. We have been very lucky over the last few years and always come away with quite a few prizes.

These children are taking part in a spring watch treasure hunt that we held on our spring open day last year.

A picture of some chilli peppers that just missed out on a prize but were given a certificate for being highly commended.

This picture show a picture of some Amaranthus (Love lies bleeding) that won first prize for a bunch of annuals. They also won us a prize for the best floral exhibit in the Show! We were really proud of this prize!
