Pendle is a very popular area with both road and off-road cyclists.  There are many bridleways and country roads, as well as a number of designated cycle routes.  Most towns have a local cycling club, and this is testament to the popularity of the sport in the area.

Pendle hosts an annual Bike Fest at Victoria Park in summer, and in 2004 the Colne Cycling Campaign started organising guided rides in the area.
