Pendle is well-served by modern rail services, with local lines to stations in Brierfield, Colne and Nelson, which provide easy connection to the National Rail Network via Burnley, Blackburn or Preston.  If you wish to plan a journey within Lancashire or nationally, please use one of the journey planners we have provided for you.

For those wishing to travel into the Yorkshire Dales, buses leave from Colne and Nelson to coneect to Dales Rail services which provide public access to the heart of the countryside throughout the summer months.  Timetables can be found on the Dales Rail website.

Rail enthusiasts will find a selection of steam and heritage railways in the area, and the Orient Express Northern Belle has regular excursions from Preston, Bolton, Manchester and Leeds.  Details of all these services can be found on the individual websites.
