Our e-commerce solution components include:

Online Shop Overview
This provides a shopping cart facility for web-in-a-box users and will enable visitors to your website to place orders for single or multiple quantities of your goods or services.

The purchaser will be guided to select an internet payment provider (IPP) to make payment.

You can choose from one of three IPPs and will be responsible to establishing and managing an account with your preferred IPP. A record of the transactions made on your site will be available to you with the added option of searching this record by epoch, visitor or product for stock management purposes.

Each payment engine will have an owner, or 'super user' who is responsible for the internal administration of the site and is the person whose details were supplied during the initial sign-up process. This individual may set up, administer and delete additional users.

Catalogue Module
This allows your website visitors to browse and search through your catalogue of products.

Once selected, the product choices can be viewed in detail and the browser can add them to a shopping cart, make a booking request or return to the list of products.

You will be able to add, amend and delete any number of products within your own catalogue.

Product Detail Page
This provides a complete view of the product selected and a link to either 'book the product' or 'add to the shopping cart', whichever is the most appropriate. Here is also where you can insert a 'buy now' button for items that may be purchased by linking directly through to the payment module.

Booking Module
This is designed to reserve items that are not saleable online i.e. a hairdressing appointment or a squash court at a leisure centre. Visitors will be able to select their chosen items, or appointments, from the catalogue and then will be transferred to a booking, or reservation, form.

Shopping Cart Module
For added customer confidence, browsers will be able to review and amend the content of their shopping cart at any time before going to the checkout to confirm their purchase and make payment. From the checkout, the visitor will be taken to either the payment module or the order page, where handling or shipping charges will be shown.

You will be able to add and amend a table of shipping and handling charges which are calculated according to: number of items, total order value, total weight of order, and its destination.

Checkout
Here, the browser is shown a confirmation summary of their order and is prompted to enter their personal and delivery information.

They are guided to supply payment via a list of available internet payment providers, or IPPs.
The visitor will then be prompted to ensure that he or she agrees the 'Terms and Conditions of Sale and Business' (set in line with Distance Selling Regulations*) and when they have indicated that they are ready to proceed, a date and time-stamped entry will be added to a log of all confirmed orders and the visitor will be transferred to the payment module if an internet payment provider has been set up (if 'order only' has been specified then an email confirmation will be sent to the visitor and the site owner).

'Order Only' will be used when you want to receive payment by another method eg goods released on clearance of a cheque sent by post. The order-only capability is also ideal for vendors like motor traders or estate agents who wish to have their website users ask for further details on more than one item.

Payment Module
For your peace of mind - and that of your customer too -  information about each line item in the shopping cart, or the total cart order value will be passed to the internet payment provider (IPP) via secure, 128-bit encryption, for which the IPP is responsible.

The IPP will request payment details and will validate and verify the user's card details, before processing payment and sending an approval, or rejection, message to the applicant via a secure message.

Full details of the order are now passed to the vendor, or site owner, via email or fax and a confirmation of order is emailed to the prospective purchaser. For security reasons, the contact information is limited to the type of information that people are normally happy to include in open emails or provide on non-secure websites.
