THE PENDLE WALKING FESTIVAL in 2008 will be for 9 days from Saturday 30th August to Sunday 7th September

Beating the Bounds - Roughlee Booth

This is a really nice pleasant walk through lovely scenery the only difficulty being finding your way as many paths have fallen into disuse so don't exist on the ground. However even if you go slightly wrong there is little difficulty getting back onto the correct line your worst problem being that you might have to climb a gate.

Start:              On the left just off Pasture Lane before starting the descent to Roughlee on the farm road there is a large parking area (847402)

Length:          9k

Height gain:  about 250m

Time:             3 hours

Grade:           Easy to Moderate
